Campaign Wins Silver Award from League of American Communications Professionals
Boston, MA – ACCION International’s ‘Helping Millions Help Themselves’ campaign earned a Silver Magellan Award from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). The distinction places the campaign collateral among the top 15 percent of total LACP submissions, recognizing the clarity, relevance and compelling nature of the materials. LACP awarded the materials with 93 out of a possible 97 points, ranking the collateral 61st out of 405 submitted to LACP worldwide.
“CviaD has been an invaluable partner in the creation of these materials,” said Bruce MacDonald, Vice President of Communications at ACCION. “Their creative vision and focus on our overall objectives resulted in a package that will generate financial support and a strong commitment to finding a global solution to poverty.”
‘Helping Millions Help Themselves’ was launched in October 2006 to raise $31 million for the funding of ACCION’s work in global poverty alleviation through microfinance. The campaign’s goals include increasing the number of microentrepreneurs served by ACCION’s partners to three million by 2008 and increasing the number of countries in which the organization works from 23 to 33.
